Night Market Cleveland

The Cleveland Foundation is delighted to be the presenting sponsor of Night Market Cleveland, a dynamic nighttime experience taking place each month this summer in the St. Clair Superior neighborhood. Night Market launched in 2014 with the aim to energize the St. Clair Superior neighborhood and introduce Greater Clevelanders and other visitors to its distinct culture, charms and history. The markets present a spectacular mix of open air vendors, music, and food galore.

We granted $20,000 back in 2014 to the St. Clair Superior Development Corporation to help launch the first Night Market. Night Market Cleveland was modeled after the night markets that commonly take place throughout Asia, offering street foods, clothing, dance and music. The first Night Market Cleveland celebrated the many restaurants, artisan vendors and galleries of AsiaTown and encouraged visitors to explore the neighborhood. The event has grown each year, with more than 200 local and regional vendors and more than 20,000 people turning out for each market!

Our support of this neighborhood goes far beyond the Night Market. Since 1979, we’ve granted more than $720,000 to the St. Clair Superior Development Corporation, supporting a range of neighborhood development activities, including the Cleveland Asian Festival, art galleries, public safety programs, artist residencies, and community policing.

We’re proud to be a sponsor again this year to ensure that more people from more Cleveland neighborhoods can enjoy this experience in the heart of Saint Clair Superior! We’re big believers in supporting projects that revitalize neighborhoods in ways large and small, and also supporting local entrepreneurs, artists, and businesses.

Night Market will take place on East 21st and Rockwell from 5 to 11 p.m. this Friday, June 30, as well as July 28, August 25, and September 29. We will be there sharing information about the upcoming Common Ground event on July 30, a community conversation taking place in Cleveland Public Square and locations across the county.

Register now to attend Common Ground. And stop by the Cleveland Foundation booth at the Night Market and say hello! We’re excited to see you.
