The Cleveland Foundation’s headquarters is part of a movement of equitable growth and placekeeping underway across Cleveland’s MidTown and Hough neighborhoods.

In 2023, after more than 100 years, the Cleveland Foundation moved out of a Playhouse Square office building and into the MidTown community. The move represents an investment in Greater Cleveland’s neighborhoods and a fundamental change to how the foundation interacts with members of the community.

The relocation connects the foundation with the work planned and underway in the area, including:

Dunham Tavern

Making the Dunham Tavern Museum campus welcoming and inviting to neighborhood residents

District

The creation of a collaborative district focused on an economy that will work for everyone

East 66th Street

Reimagining 66th Street – designed by residents to connect the city north to south from Superior Avenue to Euclid Avenue

Community Spaces

Our headquarters provide accessible community space for foundation staff, donors, grantees and community members' use. The first floor features several inviting gathering spaces.

  • The Fred & Laura Ruth Bidwell Exhibition Space showcases the work of local artists and creators through rotating displays.

  • Susanna’s Café by HELP Harvestoffers drinks, all-day breakfast, lunch options and snacks. Susanna's Café has partnerships with local MidTown district food vendors and offers a stepping-stone for individuals with disabilities who are ready to graduate into community employment.

  • Neighborhood Connections has co-located its offices in our headquarters – with a ground-level presence on E. 66th Street – as it continues the critical work of building a more just, equitable and inclusive community.
