Grantee Spotlight: AsiaTown Neighborhood

MidTown Cleveland, Inc. strives to lead equitable development in MidTown neighborhoods, including AsiaTown. Small businesses are the cornerstone of AsiaTown's impact on the community and roughly 70% of businesses in AsiaTown are first generation immigrant-owned. Through their annual Asian Festival, AsiaTown celebrates neighborhood businesses, cultural organizations, performing artists, and cultural roots in the neighborhood that contribute to the growing community.

MidTown Cleveland, Inc. works closely with these business owners to provide hands-on training, tailored language-accessible programs, and financial literacy and succession planning resources. Through support from the Cleveland Foundation, MidTown Cleveland, Inc. is able to support AsiaTown residents, recognize the cultural identity and build the economic wellbeing of the neighborhood.
