CLEVELAND, OH — The Latino Impacto Fund at the Cleveland Foundation today announced its grantmaking priorities and 2025 application process and timeline. This permanent philanthropic resource is dedicated to leveraging philanthropy to power Greater Cleveland’s Latino community for generations to come.
The Latino Impacto Fund is an affinity fund launched with a $3 million endowment at the Cleveland Foundation and a mission to build a rich future that advances bold innovation and lasting solutions rooted in shared cultura.
“We are excited to drive greater grassroots engagement in community philanthropy across Greater Cleveland,” said Andrew Katusin, director of community philanthropy at the Cleveland Foundation. “The Latino Impacto Fund gives everyone an opportunity to invest in innovation, economic mobility and community prosperity—laying the groundwork for lasting and shared impact.”
Applications for the first round of grantmaking will be accepted through October 20, 2025 with decisions made by the end of 2025.
The fund’s advisory committee, comprised of local leaders and community advocates, has outlined two key strategic priorities for this round of grantmaking:
Business & Entrepreneurial Advancement: Grants will support organizations leading projects, programs and services that foster new business creation while strengthening and expanding existing enterprises. Projects for consideration may include, but are not limited to:
- Technical and startup assistance
- Business resource navigation
- Mentorship and community connections
Economic Advancement: Grants will support organizations leading projects, programs and services that address critical needs and create pathways for long-term stability and prosperity. Projects for consideration may include, but are not limited to:
- Workforce training and credentialing
- Housing stability and access
- Financial empowerment
“This fund is more than philanthropy; it’s about legacy, equity, and ensuring that our community’s future is written by us, for us,” said Lorraine Vega, community volunteer and Latino Impacto Fund committee member. “The months and years ahead hold powerful opportunities for Greater Cleveland’s Latino community. We stand on the threshold of cultivating a new generation of Hispanic leaders who will bring their vision and vitality into every corner of civic life.”
