- Phil Kidd Joins Cleveland Foundatio...
The Cleveland Foundation welcomes Phil Kidd, who will begin his new role as director of vibrant neighborhoods effective Feb. 2.
Kidd brings a multifaceted background in neighborhood development to this new role at the world's first community foundation. He currently serves in the Cleveland Mayor’s Office for Capital Projects and was a special projects manager at Northwest Neighborhoods Community Development Corp. in the Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood, where he managed the Gordon Square Special Improvement District.
He is known for working with the community and engaging with residents every day as a core tenet of his work. Kidd spent several years in neighborhood organizing, journalism and project management in Youngstown after serving as a commissioned officer in the U.S Army.

In his nationally recognized blog, Every Street Cleveland, he has documented running every street in Cleveland to explore the city and identify capital projects. His project has been spotlighted on Bloomberg, PBS News Hour and Cleveland based outlets.
In his new role, Kidd will work directly with external partners and the community and ensure alignment across the organization to maximize the effectiveness and impact of our neighborhood-focused work.
