The Cleveland Foundation is redefining how a community foundation can interact with its city by turning its new MidTown and Hough campus into an everyday gathering place. Rather than a closed-off headquarters, its 2023 building in the historic Hough neighborhood includes public spaces like a cafe, art gallery and a studio for classes and events. Across the street, the foundation recently opened the MidTown Collaboration Center — a large mixed-use space that brings together nonprofits, local businesses, a music venue called the Sixty6, a brewery and a restaurant.
