Join the 2016 Women of Note Summit & Awards

Join us for the year’s most empowering, productive and inspiring event for women leaders in Northeast Ohio. That’s right- it’s time for the Crain’s 2016 Women of Note Summit & Awards! We’re excited to partner with Crain’s for a second year to present an afternoon leadership summit.

More About the Women of Note Summit

In addition to celebrating the 2016 Women of Note award winners (see the list of winners here!), you can also expect new programming, voices and opportunities to connect.

Over 400 women attended last year’s Summit to build and deepen relationships with one another. This year will also feature panel conversations (see the photo above of our board member Teresa Metcalf Beasley and her daughters during a 2015 panel) centered on sharing your own experiences, meeting new people and creating bold ideas through interactive table facilitation and dialogue.

Why We’re Involved

The Cleveland Foundation is all about enhancing the lives of Greater Clevelanders across Cuyahoga, Lake and Geauga counties, and so a big priority for us is ensuring that women can find the support they need to make Cleveland a better place to live.

In our 102 years of grantmaking, the Cleveland Foundation has supported women in this community, from ensuring vital social services for women in need, to scholarships, job training, and access to microloans for female entrepreneurs.

This year’s Women of Note Awards will also feature a new Cleveland Foundation Women of Note Legacy Award, presented to Jacqueline F. Woods, for her work turning passion into purpose for generations of women.

Up Next

Women of Note is part of our Greater Cleveland Caucus Series, a year-long lineup of events to foster community engagement among Greater Cleveland residents.

Next up is the African-American Philanthropy Summit, the “Giving Caucus,”on April 23, followed by the “Millennial Caucus” on May 14—an event we’re hosting with the Cleveland Young Professional Senate.

Women of Note is our “Women’s Caucus” so you can also expect time to gather with other attendees and speakers about key issues in our community. Learn more about the full series right here.

We hope you see you at Women of Note. Leading up to the Summit, stay tuned for more stories about women leaders at the Cleveland Foundation and across our community.
