Nonprofit organizations across Greater Cleveland are working hard, day in and day out, to serve our community across nearly every field and area of interest. What they have in common is a need for the financial resources and stability that allow them to focus on their mission and make their greatest possible impact. Through our organizational funds, the Cleveland Foundation stands ready to help forward-thinking charitable organizations establish stable investments that look to the long-term needs of their organizations.

The benefits of an organizational fund

Organizational fund partners enjoy a wide range of benefits and advantages through their funds at the Cleveland Foundation, including:

  • Access to large investment pools with low fees and proven strong investment stewardship
  • Planned giving expertise and sophisticated giving vehicles such as charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts and charitable lead trusts
  • Positive brand affiliation with the foundation by virtue of having an organizational fund backed by the services and reputation of the Cleveland Foundation
  • Assigned donor relations advisor providing customized services, including access to the foundation’s Advancement team with decades of legal, tax, grantmaking and development experience

We also offer our organizational fund partners the ability to securely accept online gifts directly to their fund through our “Give Now” menu. All gifts are income tax deductible at the highest levels allowed, and the foundation provides gift receipts or gift acknowledgment letters to every donor.

In times of crisis, an organizational fund provides a vital safety net that can help a nonprofit weather the storm. As organizations across our community face financial uncertainty due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, our organizational fund partners benefit from the additional resources and support provided by their fund.
