We were thrilled to see the Cleveland Foundation’s president and CEO, Ronn Richard, on Community Leader’s Power 100 list.
The new publication from Cleveland Magazine tells stories of individuals and organizations helping to advance Northeast Ohio’s community. The inaugural issue ranks the 100 most influential CEOs, politicians and civic leaders in Northeast Ohio, including people like LeBron James (#6), Mayor Frank Jackson (#7), and Beth Mooney (#1), Chairman and CEO of KeyCorp.
Ronn appears at #4 on the list for his compelling and decisive leadership on “nearly every civic project in Northeast Ohio,” including public school reform, inclusive economic development, outdoor spaces like the Cleveland Foundation Centennial Trail, and the renovation of Public Square.
Ronn has been CEO of the Cleveland Foundation since 2003. He is a former U.S. diplomat, and spent 13 years in senior management at Panasonic before becoming managing director and chief operating officer of In-Q-Tel, the CIA’s venture capital fund.
He serves on the board of directors of Global Cleveland, NewBridge Cleveland Center for Arts & Technology, Emergent Biosolutions, and Hispanics in Philanthropy. He is also board chair of the Cleveland School of Science and Medicine, Lake Erie Energy Development Corporation (LEEDCo), and Evergreen Cooperative Corporation.
